Everyday Law 08/16/2011

Law is part of our everyday lives.  We live within a realm of legal rights and responsibilities, of agreements both implicit and explicit.  Law regulates our society, sets goals and expectations in our shared political life, and shapes our self-understanding.

The proliferation of courtroom TV shows, celebrity justice, and national coverage of cases all signify the deeply felt interest we have in legal matters.  Something psychologically interesting is at work under the surface, whether it exposes our schadenfreude or something more benign, such as a genuine interest in justice.

This blog will report on interesting legal issues, useful legal information, and occasionally touch on odd and quirky questions that cross the my mind.
